This paper introduces a novel topic-sensitive approach for evaluating trust in online communities, addressing the limitations of traditional, context-free trust assessment methods. By incorporating the concept of context, specifically through the use of a user-topic model based on Labeled Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LLDA) and a topic coverage function, this approach more accurately reflects trust relationships by considering the domain-specific knowledge and authority of individuals. Experimental results from real-world data demonstrate the enhanced adaptability and accuracy of this method for trust prediction across multiple domains, compared to conventional trust evaluation techniques.
