This empirical study explores the role of online discussion forums in organizational change, focusing on how employees navigate perceived threats to their identity. The research highlights a key individual's postings that framed organizational changes, leading to cathartic expressions of anger and loss among employees. Interestingly, this discourse not only supported employees in processing their feelings but also inadvertently facilitated the very changes they resisted.
