Cyber-attacks have a significant economic impact globally, costing over $450 billion annually. Combatting this issue involves developing Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) to identify emerging threats and key hackers. Traditional CTI has been reactive due to its reliance on internal network data. To address this, researchers emphasize the need for proactive analysis of the online hacker community. This paper details efforts to systematically identify and collect data from various hacker community platforms, including forums, carding shops, Internet Relay Chat, and Dark Net Marketplaces. The authors present their methodology and provide access to the collected data via the AZSecure Hacker Assets Portal, highlighting that their dataset is the largest academic collection of hacker community data.
