In "Teaching Successful Community Practice in Social Work," Freund (2003) discusses the challenges associated with teaching community practice skills to social work students. The author argues that while community practice skills are an important part of social work training, they are often undervalued and difficult to teach effectively. Freund proposes a number of strategies for overcoming these challenges, including providing students with opportunities for hands-on experience, using case studies and simulations, and integrating technology into the teaching process.
