This paper addresses a critical issue in Natural Language Processing (NLP): the identification and classification of emotions in written texts, particularly for sentiment analysis. The authors propose a method for recognizing and classifying consumer emotions expressed in online forum comments, focusing on writing styles that reflect users' passions about various entities such as brands or locations. By integrating Romanian lexical resources for emotion analysis, this study aims to establish gold standards in sentiment analysis, benefiting a range of stakeholders including consumers, marketing professionals, and researchers in linguistics and psychology.
