This study explores enhancing coordination support for forum mediators by utilizing mobile devices to alleviate the challenges of monitoring discussions. Recognizing the time-consuming nature of tracking forum activity, the research implements a system that provides summarized information from message metadata, allowing mediators to access visual summaries on PDAs and receive textual notifications on their mobile phones. The findings indicate that this mobile-based support enables mediators to stay informed about forum activity without constantly logging into their desktop computers.
