his article addresses the increasing use of online forums in qualitative Internet research, noting the lack of practical guidelines for conducting such studies. Based on three previous online forum studies, the article proposes practical guidelines categorized into nine key areas: fit with research purpose and questions, logistics, electronic versus conventional informed consent processes, structure and functionality of online forums, interdisciplinary teams, screening methods, languages, data analysis methods, and obtaining participants' feedback. The guidelines aim to assist researchers in effectively utilizing online forums for qualitative research.
