This paper investigates the quality of advice in online health forums, focusing on the differences between responses from peers and self-identified mental health professionals. By using a classifier, the study differentiates the language used by these two groups and examines various aspects of engagement, including how comments interact with support-seekers and the linguistic styles employed. The findings contribute to understanding how different styles of interaction impact supportive engagement in online mental health communities and aim to enhance the effectiveness of advice provided in such forums.
