This study examines the role of hidden knowledge facilitators (HKFs) in facilitating knowledge sharing (KS) among employees within intrafirm online communities. Using log data from a Chinese corporation's online R&D community, the study explores the impact of both the quantity and quality of HKFs' interventions on various KS outcomes. The findings reveal that the quantity of HKFs' intervention generally has a positive impact on KS outcomes, while the quality of intervention has a mixed impact depending on certain factors. Additionally, the study identifies that the quality of HKFs' intervention moderates the positive impact of quantity on different KS outcomes. Overall, this research contributes to the understanding of knowledge sharing and knowledge facilitation in a Chinese organizational context.
