This study investigates how online community cohesion and vitality can be enhanced by addressing group privacy concerns through promotive and protective group impression management methods. Through survey and experimental research, the study demonstrates that group impression management effectively boosts group trust, diminishes privacy concerns, and strengthens cohesion and vitality. It suggests that promotive impression management is more effective than protective methods in fostering trust and reducing privacy concerns. These findings offer valuable insights for online community operators seeking to bolster member involvement and mitigate privacy issues.
