This research explores the portrayal and discussion of Gypsies in UK discussion forums, revealing strategies used to express prejudice and discrimination. A discourse analysis of three forums identified four key strategies: portraying Gypsies as "other" and abnormal, associating them with criminality, labeling some as "bogus" to undermine all Gypsies, and suggesting they receive undue favor compared to settled communities. The findings are contextualized within existing literature on prejudice against Gypsies and other minorities, and recommendations for addressing such prejudice are provided.
