This study investigates the impact of online gambling communities on gambling behaviors and problems, analyzing 17 recent studies. Findings indicate that individuals join these communities for various reasons, including discussing gambling experiences, sharing tips, and celebrating winnings. The use of these online platforms can lead to both positive and negative outcomes. Notably, active participation in these communities is linked to a higher risk of problem gambling, as these forums often facilitate the spread and continuation of harmful gambling habits through social interactions and invitations.
