This study examines the publication preferences within the field of Electronic Government Research (EGR), which has evolved significantly over the past 15 years. With a substantial body of over 5,500 peer-reviewed works and an active global researcher community, EGR has matured into a respected academic discipline. The study aims to analyze preferred publication outlets, filling a gap in understanding how these choices influence the assessment of scholarly reputation and quality, particularly in contexts like tenure and promotion.
