This study investigates the impact of group size, participation, and learning performance in a computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) context focused on the Microsoft ASP.NET programming language. Involving 120 students, the research utilized an online forum to facilitate collaborative learning. Key findings indicate that while group size did not directly affect learning scores, smaller groups led to higher participation rates, positively influencing learning outcomes. Additionally, learning satisfaction was higher in smaller groups, although participation levels did not significantly impact satisfaction. The study suggests designing instruction around small groups to enhance learning performance in programming courses.
