The study explores the roles of online support community moderators by analyzing 790 messages from 59 moderators across six diverse forums. It identifies four main themes: providing support, sharing personal experiences, making announcements, and performing administrative tasks. These findings highlight the varied activities of moderators and align with the helper-therapy principle.
