This study examines user experiences of ethylphenidate, a novel psychoactive substance, through self-reports on Internet forums. Seven key themes emerged: compulsive redosing and addiction, mental state impacts, bodily agitation, increased sociability, administration methods, varied evaluations based on intent, and safety precautions. Ethylphenidate is characterized as a potent psychostimulant with significant abuse potential, offering pleasurable effects but also risks like anxiety and cognitive fragmentation. Users experienced physiological changes and displayed two mentalities: one prioritizing pleasure and the other focusing on safety. These insights are valuable for legislators and public health officials.
