This research explores how learners engage meaningfully in discussion forums within MOOCs by analyzing participation patterns over time. Using latent semantic analysis (LSA) and machine learning, the study classifies forum posts and examines the impact of these participation patterns on learner performance. The findings underscore the importance of effective forum discussions in enhancing learner outcomes.
