This paper proposes a novel use of social media in government settings: leveraging online communities to support specific groups of citizens. By facilitating the creation of these communities, governments aim to harness the potential for peer-support, emotional assistance, and feedback on social security policies. The paper seeks to explore the implications and challenges of implementing such a model.
