This article delves into the study of online community members' behaviors by developing measurable markers based on online behavior and social network literature. It presents a methodological approach to identify these markers from the hidden relationship data within online communities. An exploratory analysis conducted on a Dutch cake baking online community categorizes member behaviors into four distinct roles: utility posters, team players, low profiles, and storytellers, linking these roles to the members' commitment levels to the website. This novel approach utilizes behavioral data over survey data to uncover implicit social network relationships, offering insights for future research on online community behaviors and practical applications for optimizing community engagement and interaction.
