This paper presents a novel ranking method designed to evaluate both users' reputation and objects' quality in online communities, leveraging trust relationships and social connections as key informational sources. Tested on the EconoPhysics forum and the Last.fm music catalog, the method employs an iterative process, exploring how variations of the algorithm affect the resulting rankings. The findings highlight the advantages of incorporating trust relationships into the algorithm, identifying the variant most suitable for typical scenarios in online community settings.
