This study focuses on identifying factors that influence content generation and community initiative within Product and Service Ecosystem Communities (PESCs), using Xiaohongshu APP as a case study. It identifies three key resources—customer-owned knowledge, harmonious passion for shopping, and perceived information usefulness—that impact content creation and, consequently, community engagement. Utilizing a service-dominant (S-D) logic model and examining resource integration, the research, based on survey data and actual content generation from 347 respondents, finds that these antecedents significantly drive content generation, which in turn boosts community initiative. The study also highlights a moderating role of perceived information usefulness in the relationship between the resources and content generation, underscoring the importance of resource integration in PESCs.
