This study analyzes online pregnancy forums to understand the types of information pregnant women seek from peers. By applying machine learning and natural language processing to over 262,000 forum posts, researchers identified key discussion topics, including maternal health, baby-related issues, and personal relationships. Notably, topics varied by trimester, highlighting specific informational needs, such as labor and miscarriage. The findings emphasize the importance of these forums in addressing unmet informational needs and combating misinformation.
