This research-in-progress paper offers initial insights into the value co-creation process within online communities, based on a bibliometric analysis of 246 articles on the topic. Through examining main research areas, highly cited references, and conducting a co-citation analysis with social network analysis tools, the study identifies key themes and connections in the literature. This quantitative bibliographic analysis serves as a foundation for a more comprehensive literature review and the future development and testing of a research model aimed at understanding the determinants of value co-creation in online communities.
