JoelR Posted Wednesday at 05:09 PM Posted Wednesday at 05:09 PM https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/topic/481595-support-tickets-v4-to-v5/ Matt proposed a replacement of private forums for support tickets, where users can only see their own topics. This seems to be a very easy and simple replacement, and it uses existing capabilities in the forum. Quote
JoeyM Posted Thursday at 12:46 AM Posted Thursday at 12:46 AM (edited) I recently asked for a private forum, as it makes zero sense for guests and non-clients to be able to read support tickets. It won't encourage anyone to purchase a license, judging by the support I have been given; a lot more than I thought are in agreement. TBH, I thought it was a request for past support to be made available again. Quote we could convert them into a forum This sounds like existing tickets to me, but it is a little unclear. If IPS still retains old ticket data, I would definitely like to obtain mine. I have put in a GDPR request, so I will see. I am not trying to be funny, but because I would like to retain what data Invision has that is valuable to me. Edited Thursday at 12:47 AM by JoeyM Quote
JoelR Posted Thursday at 11:44 PM Author Posted Thursday at 11:44 PM Certainly for past support tickets where we may have shared private server information in tickets, it would make sense to keep them all private. Now that IPS has switched to public inquiries, it's ironically made me wish for private support tickets to come back again. 1 Quote
