This study explores the effectiveness of soft computing and neurofuzzy techniques in trust prediction within online communities. Utilizing an adaptive neurofuzzy inference system (ANFIS), the study compares its performance with traditional classification techniques on data from the Epinions network. Results indicate that ANFIS achieves superior performance in terms of area under ROC (AUC) compared to other methods, with comparable results in F-measure to the C4.5 algorithm. The study suggests ANFIS as a suitable approach for predicting trust relationships in online communities.
