This paper, part of a broader project supported by the Russian Science Foundation, investigates the semantics of unity and animosity in Russian lexical and phraseological units within online communities. Focusing on pedagogical communities on VKontakte and Facebook, the study aims to uncover key values shaping professional online communication among teachers. Drawing on genre studies, Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), and identity theory, the analysis reveals that these communities foster collegial discussion, support, and professional advice exchange. Key pedagogical values such as professionalism, love of teaching, and dedication are identified, with collective criticism arising from failures to meet these values. The study suggests that values are constructed through various linguistic resources, highlighting the role of modern technologies, particularly the Internet, in facilitating social integration and meaningful cooperation.
