This article examines how expatriate Saudi students participate in a public online discussion forum, focusing on the disclosure of personal information and the role of gender. Despite the opportunity for anonymity, participants often reveal their gender through usernames and message content. Gender cues are crucial for communication, leading to limited interaction between genders and maintaining a largely segregated forum environment.
