The Semantically-Interlinked Online Communities (SIOC) project aims to represent information about online communities using Semantic Web technologies, enabling autonomous software agents to process human-centric social interactions for advanced purposes. This paper outlines the components of the SIOC project, including the SIOC Core ontology and its modules, as well as the broader SIOC ecosystem and related applications. It discusses the application of SIOC in various online community contexts, both on the web and in virtual environments, while considering human-agent communications within these environments.
